Subcontract roof vacuuming · Edmonton, Alberta

Your crew should not be shovelling gravel.

We vacuum pea gravel, ballast and river rock off commercial flat roofs so your tear-off starts clean and on schedule. Suck It works for roofing contractors, not building owners. Your client stays your client.

Who we work for

A vacuum crew you can sub, not a competitor.

Most ballast removal quotes come from somebody who would rather have the whole roof. We would not. Vacuuming is the service. You keep the tear-off, the membrane, the relationship and the invoice. We show up, pull the rock, haul it off and get out of your way.

01We quote to you, never around you to the building owner.
02Your name on the site sign. We are your vacuum crew for the day.
03Fully equipped: vacuum unit, service truck, hose runs and operators.
04We run this same equipment on our own tear-offs, so nothing about your roof is new to us.
05Quotes back fast, in writing, with the logistics spelled out.

What comes off

Aggregate, ballast and loose debris.

Priced by the square off your roof area. Tell us the stone and we will tell you what it runs.

Material 01

Pea gravel

The 3/8 washed rock sitting on most older built-up roofs. Fastest material we handle and the cheapest per square.

Material 02

Ballast rock

Small and medium ballast off loose-laid membrane. Pavers pulled and stacked by your crew, stone handled by ours.

Material 03

River rock

Large ballast and river rock. Slower feed, heavier load, and the material where hand work really starts costing you.

Material 04

Plant and industrial

Refineries, plants and process facilities. Site orientation, safety paperwork and facility rules handled before we start.

How a job runs

Four steps, start to swept.

01

Mobilize

Vacuum truck, service truck and crew to site. We stage where your access allows and run hose to the roof from grade.

02

Vacuum

Rock lifted straight off the membrane into the unit. On tall or spread out roofs we reposition and add hose to reach the far corners.

03

Haul

Collected aggregate stays in the unit and leaves with us. No chute, no bin rental sitting in the parking lot for a week.

04

Clean and hand back

Work area swept at the end of every day and the roof handed to your crew ready to strip. Start times coordinated with your foreman.

The math

Vacuum versus hand and chute.

Same rock, two very different weeks.

Shovels, buggies and a chute

The old way

  • Bodies tied up. Your best hands moving stone instead of installing membrane.
  • Bins and chute rental parked on site, plus tipping runs and traffic control around the drop zone.
  • Dust and complaints from the tenant, the parking lot and the neighbours.
  • Injury exposure across days of repetitive lifting at height.
Suck It

The vacuum way

  • Your crew stays on the tools and starts the roof when the rock is gone.
  • One line item on your bid, quoted before you price the job.
  • Material leaves with the truck. Nothing staged on the ground, nothing to schedule around.
  • Contained handling instead of open drops through a chute.
